Dominique Cliche -

President

Hi Civil! My name is Dominique, I am a 4th year Civil Engineering student and I am very excited to be your CEUS President for the 2017-2018 academic year! Few things about me: I'm Colombian and Canadian, born in Egypt but raised in Chile. Over the past 3 years, I have had amazing experiences at CEUS events which is what inspired me to get involved in it as a Subcommittee member 2 years ago, then VP Internal last year and now President. For this year, I plan to continue and improve our classic events such as Colloquium, Banquets and Civil&Sandwiches, provide more career opportunities through the CSCE McGill Chapter, as well as plan Mental Health initiatives to ensure the well-being of our students. I highly encourage you to attend these events or even join the Concrete Canoe or Bridge Building civil design teams, as they are great ways to get involved and meet others! The Cive Lounge (MD 291) is also a hotspot for many students and is a great place to study, relax or make new friends. I look forward to a really awesome year and meeting you all!

Amanda Forsans -

U1 Rep

Hey all! My name is Amanda Forsans and I’m just a small-town girl from suburban Minnesota with too many seemingly big, unattainable dreams. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be attending university in one of the most student friendly cities in the world, nor landing this big-time position as the U1 Rep for Civil Engineering Undergraduate Society! I am overwhelmingly ecstatic and intensely delighted! These young-adult years we all get to share together are precious and filled with extremely formative, memorable and eye-opening experiences that will become the unique stories we tell our kids when we grow up. To quote some random guy I don’t even know named George Bernard Shaw, “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself,” and I believe McGill is one of, if not the best, place to do just this - the amount and range of options you have to get involved in the McGill community is jaw-dropping. I am honored to be your U1 Rep this year and I hope to be a friendly smile to you all as we start/continue our journeys of creating ourselves through paving paths sparkled with originality, genius and talent that will forge the brilliant future adults we will be!

But for real, I love being the U1 Rep please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions, comments or suggestions! Thanks y’all!
