CSCE PRESIDENT:

MARTA CALITOIU

Hey Civil! My name is Marta Calitoiu and I’m very excited be your CSCE President this year. Entering into my last full year at McGill, I know how hard it can be at times to visualize where our degree will take us in the future. As CSCE President, my role is to try and complement the theory based knowledge we gain in the classroom by organising construction site and industry tours, and by hosting networking events and guest speaker sessions. I hope that through these events, you can get a better understanding of the many things we can do with our degree and that you can get see first hand how the material we learn in the classroom is applied in the outside world. If you would like to get involved with CSCE (Canadian Society for Civil Engineering), or have any event ideas or questions, don’t hesitate to contact me!

PRESIDENT:

Jonathan Chan

Howdy Civil. My name is Jonathan Chan and I am your CEUS President. This year, we’ll be continuing classics such as Banquets, Apartment Crawls and Civil & Sandwiches speaker series. On top of that, we hope to revamp the curriculum as part of the accreditation process and provide more career offerings through the CSCE. Attending these events or even joining the Concrete Canoe or Bridge Building civil design teams are great ways to get involved and meet others. The Cive Lounge (MD 291) is also a hotspot for many students and is a great place to study or make new friends. I look forward to a really awesome year and meeting you all!
